Sean Scott


an Urban Designer and Equity Planner whose mission is to foster interesting, responsive, and inclusive urban spaces. He currently works for WSP as an Urban Designer and Senior Equity Consultant, threading an understanding of race and place into complex infrastructure projects to ensure the work reflects the needs of diverse end users and supports complete communities. His project experience primarily focuses on transit-oriented development and leveraging transit infrastructure to generate supportive uses that reinforce local culture and generate opportunity for priority communities. 

Prior to joining WSP, Sean worked as an intern for NYCEDC in  their Neighborhood Strategies Division, and with the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission’s Office of Transit, Bicycle, and Pedestrian Planning.

Sean currently serves as the Vice President of Committees for the APA New York Metro Chapter and has been a proud member of the Chapter’s award-winning Diversity Committee. As a chapter member, Sean has helped organize and speak at numerous events, including Hindsight: a Planning Conference through an Equity Lens (2019), PlanScapeArch Conference 2020 and 2021 (a joint conference with AIANY and ASLA NY).

Sean received his Bachelor of Arts from Brown University, with a concentration in Urban Studies and Computer Music, and his Master’s in City and Regional Planning with a concentration in Urban Design from the University of Pennsylvania’s Weitzman School of Design.
